So there I was, last year at Uni wondering what to do with myself, when Allen says "why don't you move to Southampton and work at IBM. I've got a mate who works there, have a chat with him."
An hour's phone call later and Mike had emoted the virtues of Hursley to me with such "Mike Tunnicliffe" gusto that I, in typical "Andy Edwards" style, put all my eggs in one basket and only appled to IBM. Hell, it worked for Cambridge, it'll work for IBM.
Mike's a top bloke who knows his stuff. Half the time, he's either hacking something together, eulogizing about Ruby or making a WoW widow of his girlfriend; but the other half he's out in the real world chucking a disc around or enjoying a good walk and a fine pub lunch.
